Short Bio

Şebnem Gökçen-Çiçek is an art director and co-founder of a boutique creative agency called 217. She graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Communication in 1996. She also holds a BFA degree in Advertising Design from Academy of Art University. She worked in interactive ad agencies in San Francisco during the dot-com boom and bust years, and eventually moved back to her hometown of Istanbul. She currently lives in the mellow Mediterranean town of Antalya, immersed in nature and advancing her self-care skills. When she is not creating with 217, she is focusing on her writing, mostly short stories.
